So I have a car... 1999 VW Passat, runs great no problems what-so-ever. My problem is that I am leaving the island as soon as hubby deploys and we plan on buying a brand new car when we get back to the island. We don't want to store the car, because that is basically equal to our monthly payments and what is the point if we are just going to buy a new car when we get back? Problem being is that because the car is old it's going to be really hard to sell. We don't want to profit at this point, we just want to come close to what we owe. I have 1 month to get this figured out... what suggestions do you ladies have?

I would just try listing it on Craigslist and seeing what you can get out of it!

On our base there is a lot where a bunch of the Marines leave there cars with for sale signs on them & they seem to sell pretty fast... maybe your base has something like that?

Are you on Schofield? I think there's a lemon lot there...try to see if you can get your car listed there.
