Military Wife Confessions

Steve is leaving for our first deployment together (his 3rd) after the New Year.  We've known about this deployment for ove a year, all the logistics (money, will, etc etc) are completed.. now I just want him to leave!

I mean, not really.. but the build up is killing me!! It's like- every day keeps getting closer and closer and I'm getting more and more upset so it's hindering me from enjoying the time we have together!  Next month he leaves until Christmas for training and ugh.

I dunno where I'm going with this.. I want him to leave now so he can get back sooner.. but I don't want him to go at all beacuse that means a year without him.. I don't wanna be lonely..but I know I need to support him in this.

Why does it have to be so hard? I wish I had more girlfriends around here..to take my mind off of things.  But, that's what you guys are here for, right?

This is EXACTLY how I felt before Jon left. We need to hang out when I get back from NY.

I know how you feel!! My husband may be going next year, but he may not. In a way I want him to go because it helps us with money AND that means I get to go home...I hate it here probably because I dont have many friends. BUT at the same time i don't want to be without him and I dont want anything to happen to him over there. It can really screw with your emotions! If you ever want to hang out let me know. I'm up for anything and am home alllll day lol

Sheila, I would totally hang out if we were based in Hawaii like almost everyone here seems to be! We live in CT.
