Does anyone else think it's absolutely unrealistic to blowdry and style your hair every day?

It takes me at least 45 minutes to do my hair and do it well. I have thick as heck hair which doesn't help much either.

Granted, I feel a lot better about how I look when my hair is done.. but to schedule that much time into my morning is ridiculous because then I'd have to take a shower too. I wake up at 530 already, so let's wake up at 430 so I can make my hair pretty? I'd rather put it in a pony tail. Then to schedule time at night.. I take a shower at like 8 after I've eaten and done dishes and stuff.. and by that time I just want to go to sleep.. I don't feel like blowdrying my hair until 930.. only to wake up and have it look kinda messed up anyways.

So, there's my rant. I want a person stylist/hair dresser to come and do my hair and makeup every morning.

Boo.

I feel the EXACT same way.  I hate taking showers just because the entire time I'm in there all I can think about is all the time I'm going to have to spend on my hair to make it look half way decent afterwards.  Its ridiculous to have to spend 20 minutes blowdrying then another 20-30 minutes flat ironing or curling and teasing and the whole nine yards.

My hair is super thick too! It takes me over 45 minutes JUST to blow-dry it! ...and another 45 or so to flat-iron it!

So yeah, I wear it in a ponytail like all the time!

I couldn't imagine doing my hair everyday. I only get the motivation to do mine maybe once every 2 weeks lol.

I absolutely HAVE to wash, dry and style my hair every day. It is super fine and thin. Any amount of product, dirt (from being outside) and oil leaves my hair an unworkable mess. Even if I wash and dry it at night, I'll still have to re-wash it in the morning because the oils from sleeping will mat it and make it look dirty.

Not all of us have the luxury of well behaved hair.

My hair is not well behaved at ALL, Jen!! Especially with my new short hairdo.

Like I said, I need someone to come and do my hair every morning for me. Anyone? Anyone? ;)

My hair is also super super thick and this is what my hair stylest and I do.  I for the most part put my hair up or leave it curly.  But, if I wash it prior to a hair appointment she will blow dry and flat iron my hair for me for $20 (plus tip).  Of course when a professional does it it looks so much better so it will last minimum two days if not three as long as I don't get caught in the rain.  I see her about once a week and the rest of the time I just leave my hair curly or up.  Call around and see if you can do something similar or see if you can make friends with a hair stylist.  Just a suggestion.  Oh and if you do get your hair done and want it to last till the next day wrap your hair up in a scarf at night and then the next morning all you have to do is touch it up with a flat iron.  Good luck.

I think that is awesome...but my husband would kill me if I spent $20+ a week to get my hair done...or at least I'm pretty sure he would...

Im a hairdresser and I would die if I had to blowdry my hair everyday. I wash it the night before and then style my hair the next morning. But since moving to Hawaii I wear it up most fo the time.

Oh, well I don't get to do it every single week and I also had to give up a few things to be able to get it.  You'd be amazed at how much some people spend getting coffee out or grabbing fast food for lunch in stead of making it etc.  I didn't have much of a problem finding the money without having to eat into our budget.  I have to say though that sometimes my Starbucks is more important than my hair lol.
