This Valentine's Day is gonna be so bittersweet for me. Not only will it be Valentine's Day, but it will also be a year since Steve and I moved in together.

I want to send him a sweet V-day care package and I was wondering if you girlies had any cute ideas?

I just sent my out, I got a bunch of Valentine's day candy the kind he likes, a nice card, an xbox game he wanted. I decorated the box with valentine's stickers I got a whole sheet 57 stickers at the PX for like $2. The inside flaps of the box have more stickers and I wrote cute messages. I also sprinkled some heart confetti and covered it all with red and heart paper mashe. I spent about $20 plus the xbox game and the APO flat rate shipping.

i just read someone else's suggestion of what they did, and i thought it was a prettty cool.

make a bunch of paper hearts, 1 for each day left in the deployment and a few extras incase it runs over. and on each one write a reason why you love him. make a list first so that you don't repeat yourself. then put them all in a plain glass jar. decorate the jar and on the lid write,"take one per day"

it's a nice pick me up for him to read/ see all the different reasons you love him, and it will also server as a visual reminder as to how much longer until he gets to come home.

i love this idea so much, that i am almost excited for my husband to deploy.

I did something like that, but it wasn't for Valentine's Day. For our one year anniversary, I wrote 365 reasons why I loved him and gave it to him and instructed that he could only open one per day. =] He loved it!

and this year for V-Day, I'm giving him colgone. I know, boring, but I don't really like celebrating Valentine's Day.

We usually go out for a nice dinner and drinks instead of getting eachother things. A nice date memory is so much better then trinkets.

That'd be great, but we have a daughter and he seems to think that we can't do anything because we have her. When really, I don't mind. If we can do something alone great, but being parents, it doesn't always work out that way. What matters is the fact that we did SOMETHING.. But he doesn't get that.
