How long does it take to get accepted? My husband turned in all our paperwork and from what he was told the packet was on the Cornels(idk how to spell lol) desk! I don't know what that means, but I want to know how long it takes for people to sign and accept our command sponsorship....

Depends on your husband's unit. It took us 6 months to get mine done! BUT my husband's unit is known for being slow on paperwork, loosing things, and not telling you the right info in the first place so thats why it took us so long.

Like Sheila said, It just depends on the unit. It could be as little as week to months. Ours took a couple months because they weren't working with us very well.

With you not technically living there yet... I'm not sure that they'll give you full COLA. My husband and I were married for like 2 and a half months before I got to come out to Hawaii and they gave him COLA for where I was in Arkansas. Not Hawaii. So it was a LOT less.

Ours actually went through pretty quick if that is at all encouraging. It took a couple of weeks, but that was only because it was submitted right before the xmas break. I think it would have taken less than a week if it had been at a different time.
