We're currently stationed here so if anyone would like to know anything or just wants to make a friend in the local area I'd be happy to help!

Unfortunately we will not be moving anytime soon as it was planned.  That makes me a really sad panda since I couldn't find a single thing I like about FLW or even Missouri so far...maybe I am lucky to find some nice people in the area though to turn this into a somewhat positive experience here.

Sooooooo.....Fort Leonard Wood anyone??

You're only two hours from Silver Dollar City!  That place was what my childhood was made of.  If you haven't been you HAVE to go before you leave.  At least once for the Christmas Celebration and then a few more times in the summer for the warm season attractions. :-)
